The Day the Zombies Attacked H+S
Welcome to Kino Der Toten, our first ever Scrap Mechanic Hide and Seek map. Karma’s Evil Twin and I spent over 75 hours working on this map over the last month or so, and it all started with one idea: we wanted to make a working teleporter inspired by the original Kino Der Toten from Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies. From there, things got a little out of hand. The map is set shortly after the first zombies attacked, so we tried to give it that mix of “still recognizable” and “starting to fall apart.” Certain areas are still fairly clean, while others are damaged, blocked off, or clearly not holding up so well anymore. This is a pretty large map, with around 100 hiding spots if you count the secondary and tertiary spots. The default hider timer is set to 3 minutes, but it can be adjusted anywhere from 0 to 9 minutes depending on how much time you want to give the hiders. Hiding spots are activated in a variety of ways, including: Buttons Hidden buttons Hammer spots Spudgun / sensor spots Patience spots Seat spots One “Object Removal” spot For the button and hammer spots, pay attention to the details. Many of them rely on small discrepancies in the environment, like a discolored block, a slightly odd object, or something that just does not quite match the area around it. You do not need to avoid breaking things. This map was built with that in mind. Just know that breaking stuff may make it easier for the seeker to figure out where you are hiding. To finish the challenge, the player needs to activate all 13 green hammer lights at the Zombie Holes. Once all 13 are active, the player will need to reach the Projector Room and end the challenge. Just like this map’s namesake, the teleporter does not work right away. First, the player must turn on the main power switch located on the stage. After that, the teleporter needs to be linked to the mainframe in the lobby. Once the power is on and the link is complete, the player can step into the teleporter and be sent to the Projector Room. This map was a big project for us, especially for our first one, and we hope you have fun exploring it, hiding in it, and probably getting mildly annoyed by at least a few of the spots we tucked away. Good luck, and watch out for zombies. --- Car on stage created by PAVLOV https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=896901888 ---
